Day 1 – Johannesburg
Welcome to South Africa. Transfer to your accommodation with remaining time at your leisure.

Day 2 – Johannesburg

Today you will depart on a Johannesburg sight-seeing tour and Soweto tour. The tour through the bustling City of Gold includes Sandton with chic shopping centres and boutiques. Constitution Hill is the place of the story of the turbulent past of South Africa, ranging from the Boer War, to the notorious Old Ford Prison Complex that saw the darkest hours of apartheid till the dawn of democracy. Today, the elegant Constitutional Court presides over this once-reviled place. This tour leads you through Soweto, the largest township in South Africa and introduces you to the local inhabitants, their culture and way of living as well as social projects. The route leads past Walter Sisulu Square, where in 1955 the anti – apartheid Freedom Charter was signed, South Africa’s largest bus and taxi rank, the Hector Pieterson Museum, the Regina Mundi Church, the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, the Mandela House Museum and the Soccer City Stadium.

Day 3 – Johannesburg

After your breakfast depart on Pretoria sight-seeing tour. This City tour gives the opportunity to see museums and monuments depicting South Africa’s history. The fascinating Voortrekker Monument, a massive granite structure, honors the early pioneers. Church Square is surrounded by several historically and architecturally significant buildings such as the Palace of Justice and the Old Capitol Theatre. Equally impressive are the City Hall, the Opera House and the Union Buildings, the official seat of the South African Government and the offices of our President. Afterwards depart to Lesedi Cultural Village for lunch and cultural tour. Lesedi introduces you to the different South African tribes and their traditions including the Zulus with their comfortable Beehive huts, the perfectly thatched Rondavels of the Xhosa, the rhythmical drumming and pipes of the Pedi, the ornaments of the Ndebele and the straw hats and colourful blankets of the Basotho. Learn about various traditions, listen to stories and legends, visit houses and enjoy the singing and dancing extravaganza. The restaurant serves a traditional African feast with dishes from the African continent. Artefacts and souvenirs are sold at the craft market.

Day 4 Johannesburg – Pilanesberg National Park
Enjoy a scenic drive from the city of Johannesburg to the Pilanesberg National Park, Home of the Big 5!

Day 5-6 – Pilanesberg National Park

At the break of dawn, a gentle tap on the door will awaken you. You will meet your Ranger to discuss the day’s itinerary and your expectations of the Safari. The Safari drive takes place in an open 4×4 vehicle which enables you to experience close encounters and unforgettable moments with various animals. During the outing, your Ranger informs you about the flora and fauna of the bush and the way of living of the various animals. Enjoy a tasty cup of coffee during a break out in the bush at one of the scenic spots. Upon your return to the Lodge, a substantial breakfast is served. Enjoy your time at leisure during the day. At approximately 4 o’clock, afternoon tea and home-baked treats are served at the Lodge. You will then embark on a late afternoon Safari drive in an open 4×4 vehicle with your Ranger. After a traditional Sundowner at a scenic location, the Safari drive continues into the dusk. With the careful use of a spotlight, the Ranger will try to locate the elusive nocturnal animals. A delicious dinner is served in the lodge’s dining area, or in an animal-safe enclosure under the stars of South Africa’s night sky.

Day 7-9: Cape Town, South Africa

Today you leave Johannesburg after your safari experience and fly to Cape Town. This city is situated beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbour & boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum. Enjoy your 3 night hotel stay to explore beautiful Cape Town.

Day 10: Cape Town, South Africa

Durban is South Africa’s third-largest city and the continent’s largest port. Durban’s expansive beachfront on the eastern edge of the centre has one of the city’s busiest concentrations of restaurants, a surfeit of tacky family entertainment. Visit the bazaars, alleyways and mosques that make up the Indian area around Dr Yusuf Dadoo Street.

Day 18: Port Louis, Mauritius

Port Louis is the capital city of Mauritius. Known for its French colonial architecture and the 19th-century Champ de Mars horse-racing track. The Caudan Waterfront is a lively dining and shopping precinct. Nearby, vendors sell local produce and handicrafts at the huge Central Market. The Blue Penny Museum focuses on the island’s colonial and maritime history & culture.

Day 21-22: Port of Victoria, Seychelles

Welcome to the capital city of Seychelles. The city was established by the British colonial government and attractions include a clocktower modelled on that of Vauxhall Clock Tower in London, England, the local Courthouse, Botanical Gardens, the Victoria Natural History Museum and the expansive Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market.

Day 30: Aqaba, Jordan

Aqaba is the gateway port to the awe-inspiring is the ancient city of Petra, carved into dusty pink rock by the Nabateans more than 2,000 years ago. Entering through a long narrow stone passage, you’ll come suddenly upon the massive façade of the Treasury and stop dead in your tracks, mouth agape. “Wow” doesn’t begin to cover it. Located on the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. Filled with countless beach resorts, the area is popular for water sports and home to incredible reef structures for scuba divers.
