Kingfisher Bay Resort offers visitors a premiere holiday island experience like no other. Situated on Fraser Island which is the largest sand island in the world and a World Heritage-listed site that will offer you an adventure escape surrounded by superb Australian fauna and flora. Kingfisher Bay Resort offers resort-style comforts you’d expect at a renowned Australian property like swimming pools, bars and a pampering day spa. Plus unforgettable exploring activities are on offer – four-wheel drive island tours, hiking in sub-tropical rainforests, discovering shipwrecks and driving along the famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach. If you are taking the kids, get ready for them to discover a wonderland which Alice could only dream of. The resort’s Junior Eco Rangers program is run every school holiday by expert rangers in addition to the resort’s regular weekly activities – making it an ideal family-friendly getaway to Fraser Island. They get to be rainforest warriors and you get to relax with a cocktail by one of the four swimming pools, enjoy an exquisite meal at one of the restaurants or indulge in a soothing treatment at the Island Day Spa. With so many activities to choose from Kingfisher Bay Resort is the perfect place to kick off your Queensland holiday.

Resort Location
Kingfisher Bay Resort is located on the world’s largest sand island, Fraser Island, which stretches 123 kilometres long and 22 kilometres wide. Getting there is easy though with a short 40-minute boat ride from the mainland town of Hervey Bay, which is just 300km north of Brisbane. With lush rainforests, stretches of beautiful beaches, freshwater lakes and creeks to explore you will soon discover why this World Heritage-listed island attracts thousands of tourists from across the globe each year. And Kingfisher Bay offers you the perfect spot to call home during your stay in the comfort of their premiere eco-accommodation.

Things To Do
Get ready to overload your senses with incredible eco experiences and adventures for both the young and old. Gear up for a full day Ranger-guided Beauty Spots day tour of the island’s exquisite sand tracks, incredible beaches, freshwater lakes and creeks and basking at the wonder of tall rainforests growing on sand dunes.

From August to October why not take a whale watch cruise to see humpback whales as they migrate by. Or book a West Coast Explorer cruise where you can swim in secluded creeks, spot marine life like dugongs, turtles and dolphins or even have a go on a stand-up paddle board or in a kayak.

For a more relaxing day you can always kick back at one of the resort’s four swimming pools (of which one is heated), enjoy the cuisine at one of the three restaurants and four bars or treat yourself to a pampering session at Kingfisher Bay Resort’s Island Day Spa.
