Day 1, Start in Brisbane City
Upon arrival in Brisbane, make your own way to the hotel in the city. Set on the banks of the Brisbane River, Queensland’s capital is picturesque and energetic. Sprawling green parklands make their way throughout the CBD, and the city comes to life at night with world-class restaurants, dazzling bars, and riverside institutions. The perfect hub of museums, libraries, markets, and performing arts centres, Brisbane has made a name for itself in cultural experiences.
Day 2, Depart by Rail from Brisbane aboard the Spirit of Queensland
Take your time this morning to explore Brisbane then make your own way to nearby Roma Street Station to board the iconic Spirit of Queensland. As the train rolls out of Brisbane, take a seat in your RailBed car and enjoy the unique sense of relaxation only rail offers. Enjoy in-seat service as you take in the ever-changing views with the sun setting over the southern Queensland hills. Make use of the state-of-the-art in-seat entertainment system before the fold-down service converts your chair into a comfortable bed for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Day 3, Arrive by Rail to Cairns aboard the Spirit of Queensland
The Spirit of Queensland will be entering the tropics when you wake up this morning. Watch the fertile agricultural land slip by as you are served delicious breakfast in your seat. Today’s journey takes you through the iconic north Queensland towns of Townsville, Ingham, Tully and more before pulling into Cairns at 4.30 pm. After disembarking, make your own way to the stunning Crystalbrook Flynn, A Cairns Luxury Hotel, to relax for the evening.

Day 4, Great Barrier Reef Day Tour
Make your own way to the marina this morning to cruise to the Great Barrier Reef on a once-in-a-lifetime Great Adventures cruise. Cruise out on a super-smooth air-conditioned catamaran. Once at the Outer Reef pontoon, choose to snorkel, swim, dive or stay dry and marvel at the beauty and diversity of the Great Barrier Reef. The stable activity platform houses a bar and dining area, with lunch included in your day. Visit the underwater observatory or take to the water via the easily accessible snorkel platform, with gear included.

Day 5, Cape Tribulation, Daintree Rainforest and Mossman Gorge Tour
Discover where the rainforest meets the reef on your Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation tour. Travel in air-conditioned comfort to Cape Tribulation; through some of the oldest rainforests in the world. Included is morning tea and a driver-guided walk at Mossman Gorge, a cruise on the Daintree River, a delicious tropical BBQ lunch set amongst the rainforest, walk on famous Cape Tribulation Beach, and enjoy a delicious exotic fruit ice cream cup at the Daintree Ice Cream Company and a photo stop at Alexandra Lookout.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Exclusions: Airport transfers, meals not stated, drinks on meals, travel insurance (strongly recommended), optional tours, tipping, personal expenses and anything not explicitly listed under inclusions or itinerary are at your own expense.
- Payment: Due to high demand full payment is required to secure your booking.
- Spirit of Queensland Seating: For bookings of 2 people, whilst you will be seated near each other, please be advised that due to layout restrictions on the Spirit of Queensland, there is no guarantee that you will be seated in directly adjoining rail beds. We will always advise Queensland Rail that you are travelling together, however, it is at their discretion as to your seating allocation.
- Queensland Rail Terms: If Queensland Rail Travel have a good reason (for example health and safety, track closures, security, weather or breakdowns), they may substitute, cancel, delay or change services, stations, places or destinations. If this occurs the Queensland Rail Travel’s Disruptions policy shall apply:
1. Travel with using the alternate transport provided (usually coach transfer).
2. Rebook travel to a different date. Change fees are waived.
3. Cancel and receive a full refund less any non-refundable supplier costs. Note that the rail portion of the costs will be fully refunded. - Fitness: A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including boarding and alighting vehicles and other forms of transportation. You will be required to carry your own baggage to and from hotels, terminals and stations. Walking aids may be permitted if you are able move about unassisted at the required pace. For advice on whether this trip is suitable for you, you must disclose physical ailments at the time of booking.
- Pricing: Surcharges may apply for peak travel periods. Prices are correct at time of publication and are subject to availability, change, cancellation or withdrawal without notice. All prices are in Australian dollars per person twin share unless stated otherwise.
- Solo Occupancy: A single supplement from $999 per person is payable in addition to the twin share price for solo occupancy.
- Triple Share: Triple share is not available.
- Child Policy: This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Children 10 years and above are subject to the adult price and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Amendment Fees: Each amendment is subject to a fee from $75 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, cruise and accommodation providers may apply.
- Cancellation Fees: Cancellation is subject to a fee from $550 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, cruise and accommodation providers may apply.
- Deviation: Any request to deviate from the original dates or routing, including early arrival and stay behind, is subject to a flight deviation fee from $75 per person plus applicable airfare and tax difference. Packaged tour extensions are not subject to the deviation fee (applicable airfare and tax difference may still apply) if booked according to the original advertised dates and routing.
- Health: It is the responsibility of the customer to check and comply with the health, vaccination, COVID-19 and immigration requirements of each origin and destination country, and health requirements imposed by air, tour, cruise, and accommodation providers. Vaccinations, testing, and quarantine costs are the expense of the customer. Comprehensive travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage is strongly recommended.
- Baggage: Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage fees may apply. You are encouraged to pack lightly. Porterage is not included and you will be expected to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
- Dietary: Please notify us and your tour guides of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking but note that choices may be limited or not catered for.
- Accommodation: Accommodation names referenced are to be used as an indicative guide for the standard of accommodation to expect. Actual accommodation names may differ and will be confirmed on your final documentation. All hotel ratings are local or self-ratings provided by the supplier. All rooms will be lead-in category or run of house unless otherwise specified. The standard check-in time is after 3pm and check-out is before 10am.
- Minimum Numbers: The tour and its optional programs may require minimum numbers to operate.
- Itinerary: The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19 or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation. Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.
- Breakaway Policy: It is a condition of booking that you must always remain with the tour according to the prescribed program. Departure from the group or deviation from the set itinerary are not permitted unless written prior approval is provided.
- Documentation: Final documentation will be emailed within two weeks of departure of the respective travel component.
- Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended. Ask our holiday experts for great coverage options.
- Force Majeure: Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
