Itinerary:
Day 1-3: Milan, Italy
Welcome to Milan, a metropolitan city in Italy’s northern Lombardy Region. Milan is said to be Italy’s city of the future, where money talks, creativity is big business and looking good is an art form. Milan is home to Leonardo da Vinci’s mural of The Last Supper, hidden away on a wall in Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie. It is a sight not to be missed. When you are not gazing at the masterful displays of da Vinci’s work, spend your day strolling through the cobbled streets, taking in the cities spectacular fashion. Why not visit the Duomo, an extravagant gothic cathedral and Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II, followed by a spot of aperitivo hopping. Enjoy 3 nights hotel stay in Milan.
Day 4: Milan, Italy — Venice, Italy
Farewell Milan as you board your Scenic Rail Journey to Venice. Enjoy a 1 night hotel stay in Venice before your cruise.
Day 5: Venice, Italy
Embark your 11 night Greek Islands cruise from Venice onboard MSC Armonia.
Day 6: Split, Croatia
Welcome to Split! This atmospheric city is stunningly located between coastal mountains and the glistening turquoise waters of the Adriatic. Discover UNESCO site Diocletian’s Palace, amble down the postcard-perfect Riva Promenade and explore the cobblestoned maze of Old Town. Once you’re done exploring, get into the spirit of Fjaka, the Dalmatian art of doing nothing, as you relax at one of the dozens of bars, cafes and restaurants lining the city’s walls.
Day 7: Kotor, Montenegro
Welcome to this beautiful port town in Montenegro. Gaze upon terracotta roofs, clear waters and fresh local seafood right by the sea. This is the perfect destination to sit back and relax amongst the towering mountains of Montenegro.
Day 8: Zadar, Croatia
Known for its Roman and Venetian influences, Zadar is the orange-roof, white-building, quintessential Croatian city you will fall in love with. Once here you will be able to explore beautiful churches and cathedrals dating back to the 8th century!
Day 9: Venice, Italy
You could start a discussion about Venice by praising its restaurants, wine bars, marble churches or blown glass. But you probably won’t. You’ll likely start with the fact that Venice is built on water. It is a place where people either float slowly down palace-lined man-made waterways or stroll down narrow alleyways. There’s no more of an extraordinary place to find yourself, or lose yourself.
Day 10: Kotor, Montenegro
Welcome to this beautiful port town in Montenegro. Gaze upon terracotta roofs, clear waters and fresh local seafood right by the sea. This is the perfect destination to sit back and relax amongst the towering mountains of Montenegro.
Day 11: At Sea
Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ship’s activities can be found in the vessel’s daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.
Day 12: Mykonos, Greece
Explore this quintessential Greek island with pristine white houses with blue accents and beautiful beaches. Once you’ve seen one of the famous sunsets, you’ll understand why this is the most visited island in the region!
Day 13: Santorini, Greece
Santorini is one of the most formidable islands in the world, famed for beautiful food, pristine water and unrivalled sunsets, in the foreground are the post card whitewashed buildings. Perceptions are had about the lost city of Atlantis being located here due to Santorini’s subtle mystery.
Day 14: At Sea
Enjoy a relaxing day at sea.
Day 15: Bari, Italy
The old city of Bari, an entrancing jumble of streets that are possibly the most mind-bending place to walk around in southern Italy. Situated at the far end of Corso Cavour, its labyrinth of seemingly endless passages, weaving through courtyards and under arches, were originally designed to spare the inhabitants from the wind and throw invaders into a state of confusion. Basilica di San Nicola, consecrated in 1197 to house the relics of the saint plundered a century earlier, the real beauty of the church lies in its stonework, but best of all is the twelfth-century episcopal throne behind the altar. Travel inland to see, Matera, situated on the edge of a ravine & dates from the Middle Ages when monks built rock-hewn churches and monasteries which is now a intricate series of terraced caves.
Day 16: Venice, Italy
Disembark MSC Armonia in Venice, farewell Italy as you board your flight home or ask about our flexible flights and extend your stay.
